Pure tones on Serato Pressings
In January this year, Serato announced the very first Serato Pressing from Mad Decent - moments later it sold out on pre-order.
Since that time we have received many requests from DJs and record labels to create a more diverse range of Serato Control Vinyl, and here they come!
In February, Ninja Tune commenced shipping a beautiful 180gm 12" record featuring a versatile track from The Qemists. This was followed by our first 7" release from Jazzman Records with Mr. Clean's version of the classic "What's Going On". We have been informed by label partners that these are in short supply now, but have been distributed to record stores all over the world.
This week we are happy to announce a pile of new Serato Pressings goodness for collectors and DJs alike.
Plant Music will be shipping a dancefloor heater from Tittsworth on a White Vinyl 12". This limited release is the first white control record to be officially made available for sale.
Serato Pressings and STOKYO have also collaborated to create a special battle breaks/scratch sentence record for turntablists called "Shibuya Breaks". This release will come in two limited colors and will also be available in traditional lightweight black vinyl for those that like to carve them up.
There are many more titles and formats to be released, you can follow the schedule here on our releases page.
Customers should note that each of these releases is assigned a unique Serato Pressings release number only after it is approved by Serato quality control. This number is etched on the Serato Control Tone side of the record.
Serato wish to point out that there are currently many substandard bootlegs in circulation that claim to be Serato control records. Unless they bear the gold colored "Official Serato" emblem, we cannot guarantee the performance on our software.
