A-Sides

A Sides has become a highly respected producer / DJ over the past 5 years. He has been producing music since 1990 and has released over 350 tracks to date. As well as running his own labels Eastside and Fuze he has found time to record for other labels such as Reel to Reel, Mac 2, Metalheadz, Reinforced, Advanced, Juice, Splash, Strictly Underground and Valve Recordings. A Sides is currently working on confirmed releases for MC Fats Album on DJ Hype's True Playaz imprint and has just finished collaborating with vocalist Jenna G for her solo album dropping on DJ Zinc's Bingo label.

The past 2 years have been A Sides most successful to date. Last year saw the release of Eastside Jamz Vol. 2, an Eastside Records compilation with contributions by high-profile producers such as Peshay, Digital & Spirit, Total Science, Calibre and A Sides himself in collaboration with MC Fats. In 2003 A Sides releases among many other tracks, his much anticipated single 'What U Don't Know' featuring the vocal talents of MC Fats and Regina (July 2003) and follows up with his first ever solo album 'Follow The Groove' (Oct. 2003) with further productions featuring MC MC, J Eye and his Sci-Clone partner Nathan Haines. A Sides can like no other combine soulful vocals with rolling breaks and his heavy trademark bass, thus making his tracks work extremely well on the dancefloor. A quality that a variety of top DJs have long noticed. A Sides tracks appear regularly on Many top DJ's playlists.

And while A Sides is not in the studio he finds time to hold down a busy dj schedule. He has extensively toured the globe and has played in countries such as Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, France, Holland, Portugal, Russia, Belgium, Canada and The United States where he holds a residence at New York City's Direct Drive. But also a variety of less obvious places like Iceland, Estonia, Slovenia, Israel, Spain, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Japan and New Zealand have experienced the force that is A Sides.

A Sides is known for his tight mixing skills and technicality as a DJ. And with most high-profile DJs in the scene playing his tunes on dubplate, A Sides is spoilt for choice as in return he gets loads of fresh material from them. This is mirrored in his versatile track selection. He plays across the board with his sets combining a mixture of musical flavours playing everything from Calibre to Dillinja.

A Sides ended 2003 with the release of his highly acclaimed debut album Follow The Groove and a tour of Europe to promote it. 2004 started off with a tour of Japan and one in the USA plus further gigs in Europe. Besides all this he found time to sign tracks to Dillinja's Valve label (Exodus), Hype's True Playaz (A Certain Sound / Bring Dat - both tracks feat. MC Fats) and make remixes for Klute's Commercial Suicide (Take a Breath) and Randall's Mac 2 label (Time Is The Fire).

To top it all up he works on a tracks with Brazilian superstar DJ Marky, Calibre and has just completed his debut release with J Eye for Bryan G's Liquid V label.

"After spending thousands of pounds on acetates, spending a fortune on excess baggage charges and having to listen to tracks deteriorate after about 20 plays, Serato came to the rescue with this baby! I have total faith in Scratch LIVE on the road, I would never play a set without it. I tried the CD thing as well but the feel don't even come close."
